Electric Heat Rate

Sedgwick County Electric Cooperative has a total electric heat rate for our residential members. This rate benefits Members who use over 1200 kWh’s in a billing period during November through March. Monthly kilowatt hours over 1200 will be billed at a discounted rate.

To qualify for this rate, members must have the following:

Permanently installed electric heating equipment of 5 kw capacity or more.
Electric heat must be the sole source of heat. Portable electric heat will not be considered as sole heat.
Wood Burning Fireplaces and Stoves are allowed as long as they are not your primary heat source.

Members requesting this rate will need to complete the application below. Once we have received your request we will schedule a Line Department personnel to come out for an inspection and verify eligibility.
