Rebate Program
Need to Install or Replace your Home Heating System or Electric Hot Water Heater?
Sedgwick County Electric Cooperative has available rebates on Electric Heating Systems and Electric Hot Water Heaters.
Electric Water Heaters Rebate
Less than 60 gallons, must have a minimum Energy Factor (EF) of .93.
60 gallons or greater, must have a minimum Energy Factor (EF) of .91.
Rebate Amounts:
- $100 for a non-lifetime water heater
- $125 for a lifetime water heater
Electric Heat Systems Rebate
Air Source Heat Pump
Must have the current Energy Star (SEER) and (HSPF) Rating.
Rebate amounts increase on a graduated scale and the SEER and HSPF rating increase
above the minimum Energy Star requirements:
- $50 per half-ton for a 14.3 SEER2 - 14.5 SEER (minimum)
- $75 per half-ton for a 15.2 SEER2 - 16.0 SEER
- $100 per half-ton for a 16.0 SEER2 - 17.0 SEER and above
Ground Source Heat Pump
Minimum unit size of 2 tons.
Open loop - Must have a minimum Coefficient of Performance (COP) of 3.6 and a
minimum Energy Efficiency Rating (EER) of 16.2
Closed loop - Must have a minimum Coefficient of Performance (COP) of 3.3 and a
minimum Energy Efficiency Rating (EER) of 14.1
Rebate Amounts:
- $125 per half-ton
To Qualify
Units must be installed on the cooperative's line.
