Residential Rate Information

Residential Service Rates 1&2 Information

Schedule RDS-18, Replacing Schedule RDS-09

Applicability

Applicable to residential consumers of the Cooperative, subject to the Cooperative’s rules and regulations. Service under this schedule is limited to individual motors up to and including ten horsepower (10hp). 

Type of Service

Single-phase, 60 cycles, at available secondary voltage. 

Rate 

For Bills rendered for usage in June, July, August and September 

Fixed Charge per month: $35.00
PLUS 
Energy Charge:   12.1548 cents per kWH

For Bills rendered for usage in October through May 

Fixed Charge per month: $35.00
PLUS 
Energy Charge:   First 800 kWh @ 11.6548 ₵ per kWh
                            All excess kWh @ 11.1548 ₵ per kWh

Electric Heating 

Where consumer has permanently installed electric space heating equipment of 5 kw capacity or more, or an electric heat pump and has so informed the company in writing and; Where electricity is the sole source of space heating for the consumers use except for energy provided by wood burning fireplaces and stoves; 

All kWh in excess of 1,200 kWh will be billed at 8.5752 ¢ per kWh for bills rendered for usage in November through March. 

Service consumers engaged in a commercial enterprise at their residence will be required to have separate meters.

Minimum Monthly Charge

The minimum monthly charge shall be the higher of the following:

  1. $35.00
  2. Fixed charge computed in accordance with the line extension policy set forth in the rules and regulations.

The Cooperative may require an annual advance payment equal to twelve times the minimum charge and may require a minimum term of not to exceed three (3) years for recreation area residences and part-time occupancy residences. 

Conditions of Service

Consumers having a business on the same premises with their home may include both the home and business on the same meter and be billed under the appropriate general service schedule; or, if the consumer prefers, they may make provision for two meters, in which case the home will be billed under this schedule and the usage for other purposes will be billed under the applicable general service schedule. 

Terms of Payment

Bills will be rendered monthly, in accordance with the rules and regulations. For recreational area residences and part-time occupancy residences, the Cooperative will read the meters at least once during the year.
